My organization wants to assign multiple tags or attributes to each contact. For each category of tag/attribute they want to be able to assign multiple values. For example they are tracking the geographic focus area of the contacts (which is not related to the location of the contact). A contact may have one to many geographic focus areas. They have many of these tags. Initially I had created a table for each category of attributes but we ran into search issues and also the realization that every time they think of a new set of attributes, I have to create a new table. I was also thinking about creating a table of attributes that have categories. One more thing, the values for the tags have to be selected from a list, otherwise it would be a mess. Have any of you had to deal with this? How did you do it?
