We have a plugin that changes the Active Stage of Business Process Flow on the Opportunity entity based from the value of an OptionSet field. While we were developing and testing this plugin in CRM 2015 online, In some cases, when the Business Process Flow stage is updated (new stage is set as Active), the Selected Stage also changes to the new Active Stage. After upgrading to CRM 2016 online, the Selected Stage totally stop changing to the Active Stage. We tried changing the Selected Stage manually to the Active Stage, Save and Refresh/Re-open the form but the Selected Stage reverts to its previous Selected Stage.
The plugin is registered to Pre-Operation, updates the processid and stageid of the opportunity record.
