My organization wants to sync our CRM and Exchange services so that, e.g. an email conversation with a potential client is automatically synced with their profile in CRM so our sales and marketing teams can track developments and correspondence history.
According to (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt622056.aspx), CRM and Exchange syncing is a simple process, but only if the two are on the same tenant ("If you have an Exchange Online subscription in the same tenant as your CRM Online subscription..." and "If the Microsoft Exchange Online profile is missing, verify you have an Exchange Online subscription and that it exists in the same tenant as your CRM Online subscription.").
Our issue is that our CRM is on a "*@onmicrosoft.com" tenant, while our Exchange and other services reside on a "*@corporation.com" tenant. Is there a way to enable a sync across the two? We've followed various guides, and any test attempt at a sync throws an error and fails. We're not keen on having to migrate our entire CRM infrastructure to the other tenant.
