Regarding Business Process Flow stages in Lead and Opprtuinity

Hi Experts,

While Qualify the Lead, Then BPF Stage will move From Qualify to Develop. And Opportunity record will open.

So my questions are

1 ) when BPF Stage will move from Develop to Proposed.

2) I closed an opportunity as Won/Lost. Even though BPF Stage not moved to Close. So when BPF Stage will move to Close (or I need to Customize this using Plugin?)

Please explain me the flow of BPF Stages in Lead and Opprtunity
