Lead to Opportunity - preventing company from being mapped to Account

Hi,

Currently with our Leads, when qualifying to an Opportunity if the Company name field is field out it's creating an Account. (CRM Online)

However, this doesn't match our business process, so I removed the "Company" field and replaced it with a new field which is mapped to our custom entity for "Group". However, even though that new field is there and being populated and I've moved the "Company/Account" field to the process bar, it's still taking the "Group" on the lead instead of the "Account" and mapping that field to the "Account" field on the Opportunity.

I'm trying to find where I can change this and I can't seem to view current mapping in more detail in the 1:N or N:1 Relationships under Opportunities or Leads. 

Can you please point me in the right direction for this. Is there a way to modify it or is it hard coded and can't be changed?
