Name attribute of Connection entity is Read Only field

Hi Experts;

I had tried to set custom text for "name" attribute  "Connection" Entity, but its not working. 

I created a Plugin in Pre-Operation mode on Create and Update which actually update the "Name" attribute with custom text.

It's not giving any error but Name field is not getting updated with custom text.

I check the meta data and found that It's read only.

Any way to do this?
