Connecting PowerBuilder to CRM

Normally, this development tool connects to OData sources without an issue.

As a test, the development workstation being used for prototyping is functioning as expected with http://services.odata.org/V3/Northwind/Northwind.svc/

For the URI we're using...

https://<our_org>.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc

...for the user id...

<first>.<last>@<our_org>.onmicrosoft.com

...and of course the password.

We're implementing the X509 certificate that was downloaded from our MS CRM Developer Resources page, but is this only meant for connecting to the Azure Service Bus? Indeed, is the Service Bus what we want to connect to in the first place (for OData CRUD functionality).

When we test the connection, the error message indicates that the "Service Document" could not be downloaded.

When we paste the URI into a browser...

Error

An error has occurred.

Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support.

Is the authentication info (UID/PWD) supposed to be identical to the account's Office 365 login, or should we be using some other UID/PWD pair?

What security role(s) should we be asking the admin to assign to the prototyping account?

Thank you.
