Auto match fields

I hoping for some assistant on how to create an auto match fields with two related entities in CRM 2016 SP1 on premise.  

ie.   have created a custom entity called bank -   if a bank record is created that has the invoice number within a field called new-bankreference, like the entity to link with the related invoice record that has the same invoice number.
