I've encountered a bizarre issue where Recurring Duplicate Detection Jobs are still running to schedule, even though they have been cancelled. If I try and delete the cancelled job, the log file states

Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: The state transition requested is not valid for the current state. Current state: 3, current status: 32, target state: 0.

Environment Details

On premise v9, patched to 9.0.22.8

When we setup the original jobs, it was sending out a completion email but with the wrong hyperlink for the completed job. So we changed the template and setup new jobs one at a time, cancelling the old job once we had received a job completion email with the revised template. We then noticed it was sending out two emails, one with the old template and one with the new, so we've cancelled all the recurring jobs (even though half were already cancelled) but this has only stopped one set of emails and the ones were still receiving contain the old wrong link.

Is there anywhere else I can check, maybe on the server, to see where these jobs are still active?

Our DBA has a job that runs using KingswaySoft. The initial transfer of data from our on prem database to Dynamics CRM online goes fine. When KingswaySoft attempts to update data in the cloud is when we get the following error:

CRM service call returned an error: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.IdentityModel, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

From the description, the above DLL is missing. However, we did not do a code push. How do we find out where to update the file? Is there a solution to this that would involve no code?

I'm helping a user who wants to create a detailed Word Template for Case. They're trying to include Case Resolution () in the template, but it isn't populating in the downloaded Word Document. I don't think this is an error in using a repeating element for the following reasons.

If I go to a Case and select "Download Template" from the menu, I'm able to see Case Resolution in the 1:N Relationship list.

I can select the relationship from the above list, but it doesn't populate when downloading the Word document. I noticed that if I go to the Settings area and create a new Document Template, I don't see the relationship listed in the Select Entity dialog. I think this indicates that something funny is going on with this relationship and that's why it isn't populating in the downloaded Word document.

Here's a screenshot of the relationship on the Case entity from make.powerapps.com. Why isn't Incident_IncidentResolutions an option for use in the Word Template on Case?

So, I have the System Administrator security role, so the security permissions should not be an issue.

I have enable the Activity Feeds on the Account, User, Contact, and Incident entities. I got the popup that said I must publish the entity for the form wall changes to take effect. I published all customizations from the default solution. The follow/unfollow icons do not show up in the command bar even when the view of "Cases I Follow" have been enabled. 

I have a feeling I am missing a step. Any ideas on what to check?

There is a scenario, which needs some guidance, related to Sales -- Quote Approval.

Scenario is --

User will have a prescribed amount limit for a quote (total amount), which he or she can self approve and if quote is beyond the amount limit it should go to the senior / manager or supervisor for approval.

Example - Jon Snow has limit of $1500, if the quote total amount is $1600 then the request should redirect to supervisor.

Workaround would be really helpful.

Even though it sounds simple, I am not getting correct results when I try to search the accounts via Advanced Find in CRM. Because each account has multiple opportunities (some of them are Won, and some are in Open status) so I am getting the results even though there are open opportunities for the account. How can I search for an account that does not have any Open opportunity.

They will just sync the appointment and task but not the contacts. 

I didnt find any setting in "system setting" in Dynamics to uncheck the contact.

Recently, we have enable claim base authentication in Dynamics 2013 on premise version and it working well. We also have another asp.net website hosted under ISV folder and website is using ADFS claim base authentication. ASP.Net pages are using in CRM using IFRAME. The issue is CRM cannot see the asp.net pages and users need to sign in to asp.net website first to see the asp.net pages from CRM. Is there anyway to access the aspnet pages from CRM without need to sign in asp.net website manually?

Using JavaScript function, I want to retrieve the selected record queue item and checks for the Worked By of the queue item to see if it is already populated or not? I am trying to leverage App Insights to get authenticated users for my Power Apps portal. Was setting up things as described by Oleksandr Olashyn here: https://www.dancingwithcrm.com/powerappsportals-tracking-using-azure-app-insights/. 

That approach was working fine until Oct 12th when suddenly user_AuthenticatedId was not populated anymore. Did of course not change anything in the snippet nor any app insights settings. Would be great if anyone could help getting back on track ... Thanks!!

I am currently trying to implement the new functionality of the in-appnotification. Microsoft published this topic in September of the last year:

Send in-app notifications within model-driven apps (preview)

Based on this documentation and description, I was able to activate the function on my system without any problems.

It is now my goal to trigger such a notification on my system using a plugin and to display it to a system user. For a first simple try, I wrote this method:

As long as the lines for setting icontype, toasttype and ttlinseconds are commented out, the test notification is displayed to the system user. However, the user must actively click the bell-icon at the top right of the ribbon to see the notification. If the fields are set, the action is not carried out and no notification is created. I could do without setting the icon. But it is very important for the application that the toast type and the time are set in order to display the notification to the user for a short time.

I also tried to set those explicitly stating that the values are Int32:
