Create connection to Dynamics 365 CE in a webhook on Azure
Hi all,
I have the following scenario: A webhook + api is registered on Azure. In the Dynamics CE the webhook is registered. When an account is updated I like to retrieve primary contact information. The remoteexecutioncontext is received in the webhook. How can I crreate a serviceclient or an odata call with which I can call back to the organization initiated the trigger. I read blogs about connection with urls in the config. This doesn't work because it is a generic function for multiple environments.
Question is it possible to retrieve the url from the environment or create connection to the environment based on information in the remoteexecutioncontext? The webhook has an azure app registration and and app configured in the Dynamics Enviornments.

"Auditing" why changes to a field are not being displayed in audit history
We have a field in an opportunity, called "estimatedclosedate", it has "auditing" set to record when this field is changed in the audit.
It logs that there has been a change of a field but does not give detail of what the field was changed from and too. All other field that I have auditing set for work correct, whether an existing field or a new one we have created. Confused.
It reports on the audit history that "the fields changed by this action are not enabled for audit tracking" snippet below showing the field is set for auditing, and the response from the audit history.

Email Campaigns Failed After Batch of 20
Hello,
I've run plenty of quick campaigns before with 500+ emails and yet yesterday when I did so, it got stuck after the first batch of 20. After several hours it managed another 6 very randomly, but clearly there is a flaw. But I know as recently as two weeks ago I was successfully running quick campaigns to hundreds of contacts.
I could see the "ActivityPropagation" process running several times a minute in the system jobs, but it is not producing any emails. As such, I deactivated the "ActivityPropagation" process in customisations as the only means of stopping the process trying to run. By the time I had done this, it had already tried many more batches of 20 than would have amounted to the c500 emails I was trying to send.
I re-activated the process and then tried the Quick Campaign again today, but it is the same issue again... Stuck on 20.
Incidentally, I tried running a QC for 21 dummy contacts and it did send all 21 (albeit with a bit of a delay on the last one). Does this sound like a resources issue?? Surely it would be saying "Waiting for Resources" rather than "Succeeded" in the system jobs section.

Import failure because dependencies
Hi,
While importing solution in production, got below error.
The dependent component EntityRelationship (Id=contact_SharePointDocuments) does not exist. Failure trying to associate it with SystemForm (Id=3eb0333c-255e-410b-900d-f851b8f8407c) as a dependency. Missing dependency lookup type = PrimaryNameLookup.
Is there any way to fix this?

Display Custom Icons in a View
Hello,
I have a requirement to display icons in a view. The field I am using is a Urgency option set with 4 values.
1. I tried the JS method - uploading icons as web resources (tried with both 16x16 and 32x32). Used the JS from the link here -

Is there anything we need to change in the code other than the var col_data. That would be equal to str.new_urgency_Value where (new_urgency) is the schema name of the field in the view where we want to show the icons. Is there anything else we need to change?
The icons do not show up.
2. I also tried the PCF controls - imported the solution, configured the custom controls in the view, and assigned colors to each option in the classic editor. Even for this the icons/colored cell do not show up. For this - I followed this link https://github.com/brasov2de/ColorfulOptionsetGrid#customizing for instructions.
I am using Dynamics 365 online. Does it matter which app this applies to? I am using the above two options for a custom entity.
Is there anything I am missing, or something I need to enable for the customizations to show?

Lost "Add a Line"
First day using Dynmaics and it's definitely a learning curve. This is specifically in the QUOTATIONS page. In trying to add something to a line, I accidentally deleted the "Add a Line" button from the top of the "Lines" section. Any clue how I can get it back? I cannot seem to create a quote without that link. Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have the updates for Dynamics CRM 4.0?
Hello All:
I am looking to see if anyone happens to have archived all the update rollups for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Version 4.0 (x86 English Language)? I've recently had the time to set up my CRM environment again and found that it seems near impossible to find downloads any for the updates. The reason I'm still running an ancient version of CRM is because the majority of my users are extremely sensitive to change of any kind. So my response was to keep CRM 4.0 running in an isolated network internally and update it to the latest rollups... thus if something was not acting according to plan, we knew hat was how it isgoing to have to stay without custom coding (since MS has officially moved on from CRM 4.0)
If anyone has like a drive link containing all toe update rollup files for this CRM 4.0 that would be beyond helpful

Web API Key of Dynamics
We have the following:
1. OData URL (v9.1) of Dynamics
2. Organization account
But our need to call the Web Apis of Dynamics as an non interactive. We only need to give to user the API Key. And user can use that key in Power BI to communicate with Dynamics.
Now, query is - how to generate the Web API Key of Dynamics ?
Note: I have already tried the way using AAD auth (using App Registration). Till now it only work in custom application, but not have a way from PowerBI.

Rollup fields not refreshing after 12 hours
Hi all,
I have rollup field that is not refreshing automatically after 12 hours. It will only update when I click on the recalculate button. I've checked the system jobs there but no luck.
Anyone have any ideas or had the same issue?

Dashboard - user access statistics
Hello Techies,
We are on CRM 2015 onpremises.
We have implemented custom dashboards.
Is it possible to have statistics based on the user accessing the dashboards.
Is there any OOTB feature available for dashboard statistics?
I am aware of the table systemform that allows to list the available dashboards

And in the IIS log, I am able to identify the dashboards accessed using the log entry below

Using the technical ids of the dashboard from the DB and the IIS logs, I can pull out some statiitics and have data exported to Excel.
But it needs custom development and it is not real-time data. I have to create a SSIS job at the end of the day to get the required data and export to an Excel.

Any xRMToolbox plugin available for these statistics?

Web resource method does not exist: issue coming in IE in crm 9.2 online

I am getting below script side issues when am opening crm case record uci url in IE browser but in chrome & edge browser its fine.

Error Details:

The above 2 method specially calling from separate common library & onload its calling but in chrome & edge no script issues getting but in IE getting.what could be the issue ?

Show/Hide section condition not working
Hello,
I've been working on a JavaScript webresource which shows/hides sections based on checkbox being checked/unchecked. The checkbox appears to be working fine on the first click, but afterwards, however, it just keeps returning "yes" alerts no matter if checked or unchecked.

Different child case view on case form

I'm getting very confused on the case form when I see the child view I get some different fields on the form, from when opening up the My Active views.
Isn't suppose to show that view?
For example "Modified on" ,...

DateTime values are off by one hour at some dates
Hi! I have a problem when querying DateTime values. My timezone is set to UTC-03 , so if set a date field through Crm UI to 08/08/2021 00:00 it gets converted to utc and when i query it by the sdk i get 08/08/2021 03:00 then i can use ToLocalTime() to get 08/08/2021 00:00 again.
The problem is that some dates like 01/01/1998 00:00 uses for some reason UTC-02 so it gets converted by the crm to 08/08/2021 02:00 so when i convert using my timezone UTC-03 i have a difference of 1 hour 07/08/2021 23:00.
I know it could be a daylight saving time problem, I tried converting using TimeZoneInfo class to correct it but it does not work:
TimeZoneInfo zone = TimeZoneInfo.FindSystemTimeZoneById("Argentina Standard Time");
DateTime localDateTime = TimeZoneInfo.ConvertTimeFromUtc(date, zone);
