Duplicate Tasks created
Running CRM 2016 on premise v 8.0.1.97
We recently upgraded from CRM 2011 on premise to the above version of CRM 2016 on premise. In July, users had Office 365 pushed to their machine (used to have office 2013) and the 2011 outlook client was uninstalled and the 2016 client installed.
Have noticed now that thousands of duplicate tasks were created on that day - tasks which were created in 2011 months prior and were completed and part of their related entity's closed activities. However on this date in July the same task was created again with the same original due date .
Any suggestions on how this could have occurred?
addPresearch on subgrid not working with query that contains parameter
Hi, i want to add presearch on my subgrid based on optionset value. Basically the code is working fine. But i have a little modification within the code. And the code start not working as i expected. Here is the code

This function work if i use filterQuery2. But if i use filterQuery1 the look up on the subgrid display no record. Something wrong within this code ?
Also i have make sure that variable problemType contain optionsetvalue too

why user can access only one record in BU two level upper
Hi everyone,
User X cannot access any custom entity record owned by a team in a BUs two levels upper than him, as he has BU level read privilege only . After admin user assign one of the custom entity records to the user's BU, user X can see the custom entity record. Then admin user assigns the same record back to its original BU, user X remains access to it but no access to the rest. How can this happen? It supposes to be inaccessible to user X after changed to another BU. Can anybody give a hint? Thanks.
Power BI (Optionset) reference breaks when changing datasource
Good day,
i'm using a certain CRM environment to build my BI reports as it has a subset of data (which i can manipulate)
Once completed I would like to point this report to my production environment (change data source) but it seem to break all my optionset references (done via xrmtoolbox)
Is there an easier way to fix this?
it seem to be returning all optionset values of that specific entity instead of just the one column for that entity

Adding a lookup field to a custom entity adds all the lookup entity components to solution
In a DEV environment, I have created new solution with new entities in Dynamics 365 (online). In one of the new entities I added a lookup field to the Contacts entity. This has automatically added all the contact entity components to my solution (all fields, chart, views etc.). I would have expected that only the new relationship would have been added. Is this standard functionality?
I will eventually move this solution from my DEV environment as an unmanaged solution to a TEST environment that has additional managed solutions not in my DEV environment. These managed solutions contain fields on the contacts entity not in my custom solution. Will the additional managed solution fields remain un-impacted by the new solution import?

HTML Webresource not loaded on form when a js function is called from onload event js script ?
Hi All,
I have a onload event script on form which is calling a JS function which is part of HTML web resource on the form.
so by the time it is calling a function from html webresource , html webresource is not loaded
it is throwing crash report on console web browser
It is intermittent issue, it works fine for few records
Any idea on this is much appreciated ?

Adding new field to entity, then to view, will not show data
So I added a new field to an existing entity, let's call the field SpecialName, entity name = Application. It's just a single line of text field.
Checked the view in sql server, and saw that the field was there, in the view and the base table, Perfect so far.
Now I want to bring back data, so for a test, I manually altered the view in sql server, by changing myBaseTableName.SpecialName to 'test' SpecialName.
Manually ran the view in sql server and sure enough, every single row had the word 'test' in that column. Still perfect.
Added this new field to a new view using CRM. A copy of an associated view that only had 2 fields. So now my new view has 3 fields total, published.
Tried using the new view in CRM, and the 2 existing fields return data as expected, just like the view it was copied from, and the new field name (column) is there, but, no data.
Refreshed, republished, etc., you name it, still no data.
Why?

CRM solution export from 9.1 to 8.2 (On-premise CRM)
Hello Expert,
We create and test solutions in the sandbox. If it all works fine we export these and import them in the production.
No worries there.
Now our old sandbox is migrated to version 9.1 and when we export a solution and try to import it again in the production then it fails.
It seems that we cant export a solution from version 9.1 to a version 8.2 production.
Why is this not possible from version 9.0 to 8.2?

Cannot send email from queue - v8.2 On-premises
Hi all,
We have two different instances of D365 on-premises both are version 1612 (8.2.2.112).
As far as we can tell from all of the deployment configuration options these two orgs are identical.
However in one org we cannot send an email from a "Queue" and instead are presented with an option to send from "Team". Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think sending from a team is even possible?
Anyway any idea why we might be seeing this difference in two seemingly identical orgs and how we can change this setting?
The below screenshots are taken from the FROM lookup on a standard email form in the classic UI but we're seeing the same when using the send email step in the workflow designer as well.
