I am trying to accomplish the following query by using a Query Expression:

inner join child c on c.new_parentid = p.parentid
where c.flagattribute = 1(true)

BUT, I want to return all child records only if all the child elements have c.flagattribute = 1 under a particular parent record. If any of the child elements under the parent have one record with c.flagattribute = 0, I don't want to return any of the child records under that parent.

parent: 1
child: flagattribute = 1
child: flagattribute = 0

parent: 2
child: flagattribute = 1
child: flagattribute = 1

The desired query would return only the child elements under parent 2.

Let me know if I can clarify further. I don't believe I can accomplish this purely with QueryExpression, but FetchXML came to mind. QueryExpression + LINQ would work.

I have Microsoft Action pack where I get 2 dynamics CRM instance along with other apps(Instance 1, Instance 2). Initially, i have customized one instance(Instance 1 - Sandbox) and did all my changes. Due to some issue in Instance 1, I am not able to move the customization to Instance 2. So I configured Instance 2 as Sandbox and started customizing the same thing which I did for Instance 2.

Now I want to convert Instance 2 to Production. My major concern is I have made a lot of customization and Data upload in Instance 2 and I am afraid of Data/Customization loss if I switch instance 2 from Sandbox to production.

Anyone did the same before please let me know. 

I have tried to export Default Solution/Custom Solution but when tried to import the same in another online trial instance its showing XML mapping issue.

I can access grid list but when I double-click on it,  an error message appears.

CRM Experts,

We have started working on D365 project which would be having very heavy customizations consisting of 150+ custom entities and most of the entities consist of 200+ fields on average. Major entities like account, contact,lead,campaign etc.. consist of 500+ fields as well.

Since soon we have to start building C# code(plugins/workflows), need to decide on which approach to take- early binding or late binding.

Please suggest what is best suitable approach considering the heavy application we are going to have.

Already went through different blogs on same topic but would be more interested in knowing experiences with this kind of scenario.

Hey gang! Running into a bit of a problem.

I'm doing a preliminary setup of a PSA Environment, and I'm seeing that the time stamps are off.

In the screen-shot below you'll see I changed the project status and saved the record. But the time stamp is 5 hours ahead of my current time.

I obviously thought my time-zone was set incorrectly, but went to setting and it is actually correct. I am located in the Central Time-Zone.

Is there another time zone setting somewhere that I'm missing? I want to fix this before I start creating resources and have to change things around later. Maybe in the Office 365 Admin Center? I'm not seeing one but I could be missing it.

I have an Entity B that I open the form to create New from the Contact.  The Contact autopopulates to Entity B.  I have another Entity A that relates to the Contacts via N:N.   I want to get a list of these values with the Contact for my fetchXml.  I have hard coded a value and it works. I have tried #contactid# and it doesn't work and I have tried contactid and it doesn't work either.  Is there anyway to have the value populate with each selected contact?

Hi,

I am doing data migration from online to online and currently stuck in the email migration step. Source system contains several Queues but destination system contains only 1 public queue. The migration fails with error - Queue with ID = <GUID> Does not exit.

Any suggestions to resolve this error or to workaround this please?

First question:

I have a 2 option set field called "refill in progress" with either "yes" or "no" values, the default value being "no."

When I clone a record, I would like this field to be updated to "yes." Any resources on how to do this with a workflow? 

Second question: 

Would it be possible, using workflows, to have that field changed from "yes" back to "no" if the cloned record is deleted? This isn't as important, but would be nice if it's simple enough to do.

I am using CRM 2016 v8.1 on-prem. I am testing the hierarchy security in our sandbox trying to understand this a little better. I have only 1 Business Unit and I am using the Salesperson & Sales Manager roles. The salesperson has basic Create, Read, Write, Append, Append To and Assign (no privileges to delete or share). The Sales Manager role has basic Create, Write, Append, Append To and Assign and Org level Read (no privileges to delete or share). I have a sys admin account (Chrys Admin) and a test account with the Sales Manager role (Chrys Manager); a user with a Salesperson role (Peter Sales) and 2 other sys admin accounts (Rocket Admin & Groot Admin). Chrys Manager is Peter Sales' manager. I split the ownership of sample cases between all 5 users. What I expected Chrys Manager to be able to do is:

1. Read, edit & assign all cases owned by Chrys Manager
2. Read, edit & assign all cases owned by Peter Sales
3. Read-Only all cases owned by Chrys Admin, Rocket Admin & Groot Admin

What is actually happening with Chrys Manager is:

1. NOT able to open any cases owned by Chrys Manager
2. Read & edit cases owned by Peter Sales. NOT able to Assign
3. Read-Only all cases owned by Chrys Admin, Rocket Admin & Groot Admin

When I am logged in as Chrys Manager, I try to open a record owned by Chrys Manager and I receive the prvShareIncident error message. I don't understand why I have to have Share privileges to open my own record. We are trying to avoid giving share privileges to our users. What am I missing here? Below are screenshots of the role settings; I cropped the images to reduce the size to only show the Case entity.

If anyone can help me understand what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting all rows of data to display for each account when viewing the report. All my link-entity joins seem to be working correctly, but I am somehow only getting a single row limit output for each account. The Query Designer run is showing all the data rows but when running the report, I only see 1 row for each account. For example, if I am joining Accounts to Contacts, I want to see a separate row for each contact, the query designer run is showing me all contact rows for each account, but the report output only shows 1 row per account. I'm creating pdf view of Invoice in our CRM instance, I'm able to have the button created to generate PDF view and for testing purpose currently using a static HTML page. I need to make it Dynamic. how can I read data from Invoice entity and include it in my html web resource to populate fields?

here is an example of what I'm looking for. my code converts anything html to pdf hence I only need to know how to read data from fields of a certain entity to html web resource.

If i add a lookup field entity on account form then which type of relationship is created on the account entity? and what is the relationship behavior associated by default

My understanding is, we will have 1: N relationship and default behavior is Parental.
