We currently have CRM 2011 on-premise with Exchange Server 2010 and Office 2016 installed on user machines. We're aiming to migrate to Exchange online as part of O365 E1 plan and upgrade CRM to 2013 on-premise.
The compatibility for CRM 2013 on-premise for Exchange Online mentions E3 SKU only - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3005167
My questions are:
- Is E1 supported at all?
- If it is supported, are there any features that won't be available with E1 SKU?
- If it's not supported, why not? What does E3 have that E1 doesn't in terms of supporting compatibility with CRM 2013 on-premise?
