Show duration on telephone activity

Hello everybody,

One of my customers wants to track the activities of its employees, more specific: the duration of specific activities. With rollup fields i can easily accomplish that.

However, I have noticed that you can not enter a duration on the telepone activity when you create this record from the social pane of a Account or Contact record. 

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
