setFocus() for quick create form ms crm 2016

I am not sure if it is a bug or something is missing. setFocus() fiunction is working fine for main form but for quick create form it is failing. It does not give any error, but simply do not work. While debugging also, I found that setFocus() is there inside the control object but now working. The strange thing is if I use the same code for online, it is working there but not for onpremise (2016).
Any suggestions ??
