Unable to create automatic cases from incoming Emails

After I followed this blog crmbook.powerobjects.com/.../automatic-case-creation , I configured a mailbox( gmail) which tested successfully for incoming and outgoing emails.  This mailbox got associated with a queue I made. I am able to send messages using this email Id. I also set up rule to create a case for every incoming email. But still no Idea why it isn't working. When I look into Advanced find, I can see a lot of outgoing emails but not a single incoming email. Any suggestion idea where am I going wrong?
