Sales Force : Contact to Multiple Accounts - Feature Availability in Dynamics 365 Online

Hello all,

Excited to explore Dynamics 365, we are a great lover of Office 365. Wish to know whether a particular feature is available in Dynamics 365 online or Not.

In Salesforce we are able to map a single human contact to multiple Accounts and it is being enhanced now in their winter'17 release. It's a most welcomed feature.

Use Case: Many times we had contact, who is an owner of multiple businesses. Hence, we need to map him (a single person) "One to Many" Accounts.

Earlier, Summer 16 they brought this feature. Is that possible to have the same feature in Dynamics 365.

I referred to the below url but need more clarity.

msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309704.aspx

It states 2 points
  1. Accounts can have multiple child accounts and child contacts.
  2. A contact can have only one account as its parent.

Need to understand the role of Child Contact vs Primary Contact.

What salesforce, yet to address is that, when a single human plays a role in multiple accounts, his contact details ID to that business Entity, changes, whereas, mobile number is mostly common. But rest of the details changes.

Example: Office Land Line Phone, Office Email ID, Office Address, etc.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I did try in Dynamics 365, to add the same contact in multiple accounts. Not sure whether that's the one I am looking for.

regards,

Singaravelu S, CFP
