send email using the field email address

Hi all,

Is it possible to send an email using the field email address. I am not having a contact created with an email but in one of my entites I am having email address field, I would like to send email to that field email adress using workflow.

Is this possible ? or I should have the contact created compulsory in order to send email?

Any help or guidance in achieving this is highly appreciated.
