CRM2011 RU18 IE10 emailbodyinputbehavior.js error

Our users are experiencing temperamental but significant delays when attempting to use one of our custom email templates. These templates include some formatted text, three small logos and in one case a file attachment.

The delay occurs when the user selects the template they require and clicks okay and can last anywhere from 10 seconds to a full minute.

When one of our support team log on to the web server hosting CRM, quite a few dwin.exe processes appear to be firing and ~15 error messages relating to the above js file are recorded in the event viewer.  We believe they are causing the increased template import time.

We have reviewed the most prominent results on Google and can confirm that our CRM System Settings do not use secure frames to restrict e-mail message content. This was altered a few months ago when the issue was first identified.

I'm slightly at a loss where to go from here, especially as it's intermittent and does not seem to follow any pattern in terms of which template import is affected.

All our users are on Internet Explorer 10 and our MSDynamics 2011 is already at RollUp18.

Does anybody have any theories on what is causing these delays? Is the js error a red-herring?
