I recently turned on full text search on D365 CE 9.1 On Premise version, but we encounter a couples of setback. Instead of having the results returned quickly with improved performance, for most of searching, there is timeout error.
These errors occur quite often when the concurrency is high. The data volume for that entity itself is only 15mio records with db server specification of:
memory: 32 core, 128GB
CPU: intel xeon gold
hdd: 1TB
current db volume in total: ~400GB
What could be possibly wrong? So far when we turned on the full text search, we just do it through the system setting on front end. Do we have to do anything specific other than that? Let's say on the DB Level? Is there any specific config or maintenance that we need to get done?
For some searching during off peak hours (around midnight or early morning), we can feel the improved performance, but most of the time no (due to the system being accessed 24/7).
