back up customizations

Hi all,

I am new to application ribbon customization & trying to make changes to the ribbon buttons using ribbon work bench editor, before doing this i would like to take a backup of the existing settings. 

I need your inputs on how we can take backup and use it to rollback when anything goes wrong.
