Hello, I am working with CRM 2011. I created a custom field for an entity. I wish to delete it. CRM says I can't do this because of the dependencies it has.
The only dependency is the form for the entity. The custom field I created does NOT appear in the form. Instead, it shows up in the Field Explorer window on the right when the "Only show unused fields" checkbox is checked.
There does not appear to be a way to detach the field, which is not being used, by the form. At the same time I can't delete the field because the form shows up as one of its dependencies.
Does anyone know how to tell a form to stop depending on a custom field (which is not being used by the form)? Once again, CRM 2011 has me in a Catch-22 situation. Boy, CRM sure is fun!!
