Does anyone have any clarity on WHERE or WHEN we can find editable grid functionality in CRM 2016 (on-prem)?
I've seen several articles saying it's available and has been - here are 3. Two of them specifically state that it IS available for on-prem:
- blogs.technet.microsoft.com/.../editable-grids-is-here
- dynamics365blocks.wordpress.com/.../editable-grid-in-dynamics-crm-december-2016-update-for-dynamics-365part-2
- http://himbap.com/blog/?p=2529
However, I'm running on-prem with latest updates (v8.1.0.359) and see *no* option to enable editable grid or for that matter, *ANY* controls for a web client. Those of us who don't want to use a phone/tablet client with an on-prem deployment are apparently out of luck.
Does anyone know why? Do I need USD or something? Is this just a timing thing, where MS has not released it for on-prem yet, while they have released it for online?
And can anyone explain the disparity between these articles that state that this *IS* available for both hosted *and* on-prem, but you can clearly see below that my on-prem deployment does not offer the option. I'm completely confused by MS's marketing messages lately. I thought they said everything is called Dynamics 365 now, and the CRM 2016 terminology is being phased out, so when I see 'available for Dynamics 365 on-prem', I equate that to mean it is available for CRM 2016 on-prem. No?
If it's a MS release timing issue, is anyone aware of a URL that explains when this stuff will be made available for on-prem deployments?
Thank you!
