Calendar and Reminders in CRM

Hi Experts,

Is there any possibility to create a reminder in CRM Calendar? I tried to create an appointment in CRM. but while click the save button it is showing error that At least one recipient must have Email, even though I provided Email. 

Please suggest me how can I create an appointment and I want reminder popup before 5 minutes. How to achieve both? Please suggest me
