Posibility of linking a product throuw a work flow to Product Familie

I am stick in a crucial point. Can someone help.

Situation
Self made entity (Items)

i want to link the product to Product familie throw my self made entity with a workflow of some thing in that way?

Goal is when i select the item from item group entity and creating product. The prodcut should come automaticly to the correct familie throw a workflow.
