Force All User's to have the "Active Contacts" default view and not the "My Contacts" view.

In the CRM 2011 native/built in Contacts entity, I set the "Active Contacts" view to be the default view.

I also set the "My Contacts" view to be inactive.

My problem is that even after doing this and publishing the changes, all users still have and default to the "My Contacts" view when they log in. As a result, they only see a small number of contacts and that's the problem. I don't want them to have to keep clicking the view at the top to switch to the "Active Contacts" view, as they will do that 100x a day and its VERY annoying for them.

Obviously, this is a problem. I need every user, no matter who they are, to always default to "Active Contacts".

Based on the steps I have already taken as laid out above, I have a feeling that achieving my desired objective is not as simple or straight forward as I think it should be.

Has anyone done this? What did you do exactly?
