Customize Activities in Social Pane

Hi all,
Is there any way to edit what is seen on the social pane?
For example, I want to edit what is shown when I add a new appointment in a contact entity. 
Usually, when I add a new appointment and save it, fields like due date modified by Today for the appointment become visible in the social pane. 
How can I create a new field to see or remove due date in the appointment in the social pane?
