Is NTLM authentication supported for on-premise MS Dynamics CRM 2016 ?

I am working on MS Dynamics CRM 2016 on-premise integration.

I am referring https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-in/library/mt595798.aspx Authenticate to Microsoft Dynamics CRM with the Web API.

I would like to know, whether NTLM authentication is supported for on-premise instance or not ?
