Server Side Synchronization Summary Shows "0 mailboxes are configured..."

Hi there.

We're implementing on-premise CRM 2016 and I'm trying to configure our mailboxes to synchronize with our on-premise Exchange server.

Much of the synchronization seems to work (e.g., emails sent from CRM are delivered to recipients and appointments created in CRM are added to Exchange calendar), however email synchronization doesn't seem to be working.

Is my assumption below correct?

If server-side sync is setup correctly, when a lead replies to an email generated in CRM (which has the "CRM:00xxxx" token in the subject), their reply email should be delivered to the Exchange mailbox (i.e., to the email address of the sender), after which, when CRM polls the Exchange mailbox for CRM messages, it will generate a CRM email activity that's should be added to the lead's person record.  In other words, both sides of the email conversation should be captured in the person's activities. (?)

So far, I'm not seeing that.  When I look at the "Server-Side Synchronization Performance" dashboard, "0 mailboxes are configured for server-side synchronization.", although mailboxes are setup for SSS and the "Configuration Test Results" are all successful (and as I mentioned above, an appointment created in CRM was added to the Exchange calendar automagically).

Can you recommend some troubleshooting or configuration tips?  Are there error logs somewhere that might troubleshoot the sync?

THanks!
