My staff have a need to link contacts to multiple organisations because they may have different roles and we contact them based on which organisation we are talking to.
People have suggested using connections but I don’t think this will work.
My outline requirements are below. I will use the example of Bob Smith who is CEO at Acme but also a Trustee at Charity.com
- Bob needs to be linked to both Acme and Charity.com, we need to know his job title at both organisations.
- Bob has 2 email addresses, one for Acme and one for charity.com. When we contact him we need to use the correct email address.
- When we add him to marketing lists it needs to use the correct email address.
- When we track emails from him into CRM it needs to be associated to his record and also the appropriate parent record.
I’m thinking that I need a custom relationship entity to sit between contacts and organisations but I’m not sure how the marketing lists and email tracking will work.
