SOAP vs REST Support for Dynamics CRM 2016

Hi CRM Team,

I was analyzing the CRM Documentation for Dynamics CRM 2016.

I wanted to understand the support for REST or SOAP apis. I found this link https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg490659.aspx which mentions about the different WEB Services.

From documentation it is clear that the WEB API provides a RESTful web service with full compatibility with the organization service(SOAP) as well.

I have a couple of queries:

a) Is Organization Service(SOAP) supported in 2016 version? If it is, will it be supported for future versions as well or will it be deprecated?

b)  Considering the future releases, shall we consider only WEB API(REST) for the new Development ?
