Email Router installation failed due to lack of required components

Hi All,

This is regarding Email Router Installation issue.

Environment:

Environment: Dynamics CRM 2013 On-Premise

Exchange Server : Exchange online

Email Integrator: Email Router

Problem:

Previously we had Exchange server on-premise and using Server side sync, we integrated our CRM 2013 On-Premise with Exchange server On-Premise. Now our company moved Exchange server to online. So CRM 2013 on-premise doesn't support hybrid to connect to Exchange online using server side sync.

So we need to go "Email Router" route. Here we got struck. Our servers on VMs and not exposed to Internet. During Email Router installation, it's failed to install because some of the requirement components are missing and unable to download from microsoft.com site (due to lack of internet connection).

With that said, we placed the required components(missing) in the  specified folder (C:\Users\XXXXX\msoidcrl\msoidcli_64bit.msi), which Email Router installer expects, still it complains the requirement components are not locally available.

So we requested windows team to enable internet connection (at least until we finish our installation) to our servers, and they opened internet connection using Blue coat proxy and on a specified port . So on server side we made necessary changes to access proxy server by going to Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings  >  Proxy server.

Questions:

1. So with the above settings , will the Email router installer get access to internet and able to download required components or do we have to configure anything on Email Router installation to get internet access?

2. Why Email router complains, even after supplying the required files (msoidcli_64bit.msi)?

3. If somehow, Email Router installed, after that internet connection pulled out from the server, does Email router works to integrate CRM 2013 on-premise and Exchange online or does it need Internet connection to integrate?

Error Log:
