Opening ribbon workbench upon click on ribbon button

Hello Team,

I would like to open a different webpage upon click on CRM ribbon button.

Can I achieve this in Robbon workbench just by mentioning the link there or do i need to any Java script.

Any help or guidance is highly appreciated.
