We recently upgraded to CRM 2016 and yesterday we deployed a new managed solution file (2MB). It imported as a holding solution (due to our bug fix patch solution applied last week) and everything is working great. Our changes show up, or new additions are included and so on. However, we clicked the "Apply solution upgrade" in our maintenance window, but it never completes, it just shows the dialog below. The system is running fine, however, I have no indication if it is doing something, stuck in processing, or if the screen itself just stuck.
I cannot seem to find any log output from this process. Where does it log to? Is there a way to determine what it is doing, how far along it is, if there are any errors, warnings or output?
As a side note, I am going to suggest to Microsoft that they include som details in the UI for solution tasks, especially logs and progress reporting. This seems too high level for my taste.
