1. What happened : There was some translation updated in the translation excel file and the solution was exported..!
2. What all I have tried:
I compared these:
a.entity customization XML file of both environments and there is one extra element -" <attribute> </attribute> ".(in dev environement from where the solution is exported).
So tried commenting/deleting this extra entry and importing - Again there was same issue when re-imported in other environment.
b.Translation excel files of both the environments - looks like both are same.!
3. Can anybody explain how did this extra xml element might appear in entity customization XML file, please suggest some workaround to remove this extra element..
4. Also what is the process involved in the formation of this entity customization XML?, is there any chance of it getting corrupted?
