I'm sorry if this ended up in the wrong forum group, but here goes.
We own a company which is a supplier to the military, we, the parent forreign company do not have full transparency into this company, only certain employees approved by government official in the parent company has access, thus we went for two completely separated dynamics crm online instances. Now to the issue, we would like to consolidate in the pipeline and order intake from the company into the groups CRM instance.
Now to the problem(s). I will receive a anonymized excel export on a monthly basis, this is then imported into the group's CRM instance as a CSV file retaining the GUID, however when importing the data as CSV I'm unable to overwrite existing opportunities (existing guid's), if the opportunity exists i get this error:
| A record with these values already exists. A duplicate record cannot be created. Select one or more unique values and try again. |
When trying to import using the XSLX import, it will fail if the GUID doesnt exist, giving me this error:
| The record could not be updated because the original record no longer exists in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. |
So my question to you is; is it possible to have the standard import to both update existing and insert non existing records while retaining the GUID's?
