Our CRM has thousands of contact records with an email address and the full name is also the email address.
I believe this is because when people send us an email to a queue, there is the standard process to create an case for that email and also create a contact record to associate with it. Because the email only has the senders email address, that is all it has to create a contact record.
However, the email address as first name and last name is incorrect but presumably because these are mandatory fields it must do this.
Does anyone have any solution for this? Can it just populate the email address? Perhaps a different class of contact record where we only know email. Staff are concerned that at some point we will email them and a template will address them as MR @mail.com.
