We are currently evaluating Microsoft Dynamics CRM and so far like what we see. However, we are finding some simple tasks require multiple steps to complete when compared with other products.
An example of one is when using the Print Quote for Customer functionality. In summary the user has to:
- Download and save the template document
- Open the doc and go to ADD-INS | Click CRM | Select Data Source (Press OK)
- Go to Finish & Merge | Edit Individual Documents | Click ALL (Press OK)
Once the user has completed the above steps the only way to record that the Quote has been printed and sent to the customer is by manually adding a Quote note and uploading the attachment. Is this correct or are we missing simple steps here?
Also, if you want to email the Quote you have to go through the above, then create an email and attach the Quote document and again add a Quote Note to say this task has occurred.
Any guidance or confirmation that this is functioning as designed would be appreciated.
