I'm looking for advice or best practice, 'cause i feel i'm not the first who wants this.
As i know post entity not available for tablet app, but my users constantly use post feed in web (mostly in leads and opportunities), so i want to recreate it in tablet app. I see 2 ways to do so:
- Develop web resource and embed it in form to show in tablet app. Pros: i fully in control of web resource and can develop it as i want. Cons: waste of time for developing and supporting web resource.
- Use Annotation entity to duplicate post. In tablet app user can easily create new annotation records. So i want to copy new posts into annotations and back. Pros: it's easy and users will see no difference. Cons: don't want to duplicate data, can confuse users if they decide to check out or create new annotations in web.
Any recommendations?
We are using Dynamics CRM 2016 on-premise and planning to upgrade to 365 on-premise in next quarter. Maybe situation in 365 is different about post entity.
