Connector for Microsoft Dynamics

Can anyone please clarify the questions related to Connector for CRM.

1. When a sales order is created in GP using Connector for CRM, Whether it creates Purchase order automatically in case of shortage of quantity/fulfillment.  In the case of creation of purchase order will it be a standard or drop ship purchase order.
2. Will the connector supports non inventory items orders from CRM to GP?
3. I would like to understand the underlying way how Connector for CRM pushes data into GP?  Is it using econnect?

Any information on this part will be appreciated.
