Hi all,
I'm looking for a bit of advice from the experts here. I've recently joined a company who use CRM Online and I've taken over management of the system from a third-party company they were using before. I've been reviewing the system and it appears there are a lot of unmanaged customisations that have been made to the system, including adding new custom entities, new forms on system entities and lots of new fields, some of which appear to be duplicates and are unused
I'm in the process of doing a system needs analysis to influence the development of the system to better meet the company processes, but I would like some advice as to how you think I should deal with the unmanaged changes to the system. I have a sandbox instance available, so my first thought would be to make a clone of the current system build, then review utilisation of each of the unmanaged elements and then package them up into managed solutions for reimport into the production instance once I have verified functionality, but I'm not sure if there is anything I should potentially keep a lookout for, or if anyone could offer any more detailed advice.
I appreciate your help.
Ryan
