What is the purpose of the Power BI gateway? i m relatively new to power BI but not to the BI in general.
we have started exploring power BI as a solution, wanted to pinch your brains to findout why is the gateway useful?
I was able to extablish a gateway connection in my dev server where SQL is hosting a demo data, which was shared to my other BI colleagues whom are in the same group. they are able to see the Datasets.
This is what my understanding of this tool so far(please correct me if I'm wrong):
- It can be shared to a selected group within your org.
- it allows data analysts to use the same data set to create different aspect of their own report..
what else is the purpose of this tool?
